Fishing Day coming up

On Sunday 11th July we will be hosting our annual Fishing day for handicapped and special needs children at South Ockendon. Fifteen children from the Special Needs Activity Club are expected to attend where they will be assisted by members of the Anniversary fishing club, whilst the rotarians serve up hamburgers, hot dogs and soft drinks. All the children will go home with a trophy to remind them of their day out.

From Youngest To Oldest

Published by admin under ALL LATEST NEWS

On Thursday 1st July 2010, rotarians, families and friends met at Ye Olde Plough House in Bulphan for the club’s traditional handover evening. Club President, Robert Waite was the club’s youngest President, and by coincidence he handed over the chain of office to the club’s oldest member to hold this office, Rotarian David Fenn.
David will be in the chair for the second time having been President in 2004/5. In his acceptance speech, David praised the achievments of the club during Rob’s presidency and challenged the members to reach the same heights in the coming year.
In handing over the chain of office, Rob thanked all those present for their support and hard work during the past year and wished the club every success in the future.
